some random notes from blogger:

I am went to Tarrafal for three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I went to the beach and saw little fish, BIG fish and little shells and BIG shells.

Sunday Brunch

I went to the gym with Mom and (afterwards) had brunch in Pao Quente (bakery) and I saw the President (of Cape Verde).

Ruby in (the) campo

Hi, I’m Ruby,

 Today i went hiking to the high mountains.

It was SOOOO cool, i saw eucalyptus trees. It smelled gooooooood ! 

 I walked in the high mountains, i saw flowers and butterflies. I made a bouquet with the flowers.

We had a picnic in the mountains. The food tasted good. It was rice with mushrooms, chouricinho and duck!

( and mom says: best of all...we had great company!!)

My birthday!

Hi,i'm Ruby,i'm 7! 

My birthday passed…
My party was soooooooooo cool, the theme was ancient Egypt. I was Cleopatra. 

I invited Juliana, Tita and Mell.

 (some other royal elders also showed up, Vovo and Vovo, etc...)

We had drawings to color, mom put on Cleopatra make-up on us and we got to write our names in hieroglyphs. 

My cake was chocolate, for the sand (for the desert effect) we put a crumbled cracker named bolacha Maria (a Portuguese cookie) and it had a gold pyramid (s) with toy animals and plants.

We had little treats in our goodie bags. They were: indian bracelets, a special pencil, morrocan leather coin wallets, glitter make up (for other uses but …off course girls want it for make up!), etc.

Cabo Verde week 2

Hi i'm Ruby. I am here to tell you about this week, 
in school I've  been writing sooooooooooo much.
It's been driving me scadoodles!

I got my  uniform! (photo to follow)
I've also been doing other stuff like going to piano class which was so fun and going to the pool which was wacky fun!

Tita (Ruby's buddy in ballet, playdates, pool outings and...performances...she danced and Ruby drummed: )

I went to a birthday party and played games and got my face painted. (see below)

Cabo Verde week  1

Hi I’m Ruby. I’m in Cabo Verde. Since i arrived i have been home spending time with grandpa (Vovo) and grandma (Vóvó) and spending time with some friends. I also went to ballet class. My teachers name is Nicole.

First day of school

Today was my first day of class!

I have a new friend, her name was Adriana, I think...my teacher's name is Veronica. 

It was sooooooo fun!

Yesterday (sunday 15th) I went to the countryside. I saw amazing sites! I saw mountains, green grass, I saw a water falls also.

I saw goats and cows, it is funny that they wag their tails to take out the flies. I went with my great friend Tita and Manuel.
